TEFAP UPDATE:
- Midlands Area Food Bank is now serving Kershaw, Sumter, and Lee Counties.
APPLICATION INFORMATION FOR PANTRY PARTNERS:
- All interested churches and organizations must submit an application. Please visit the MAFB website at www.mafbfeedingsc.org and select Pantry Partners at the top of the page. Then select Forms and Resources to download a copy of the USDA TEFAP Partner Agreement for Pantry Partners.
- Organizations must complete an application (i.e. Pantry Partner Agreement) and submit it to MAFB for review and approval before they can receive food distributions. Once the application has been reviewed, the organization will receive an email from MAFB approving the application or requesting additional information before approval can be granted. Applications may be denied if the organization is not located in the designated service area or the organization cannot ensure that it can maintain the food safety and storage requirements as outlined in the Agreement.
- For organizations and churches that are not located in Kershaw, Sumter, or Lee Counties, they may submit an application but will need to provide documentation that they are serving families in the service area (Kershaw, Sumter, or Lee Counties) before being approved. For more information, contact Ms. Saddler at (803) 766-1450 or email her at pantrypartners@mafbfeedingsc.org.
APPLICATION INFORMATION FOR HOUSEHOLDS THAT ARE SERVED:
- An application must be completed for each household that is served. Pantry Partners should maintain a copy of the application for their records, which the individual will need to sign each time the household receives food. Please note that due to Covid and restrictions that may be in place at pantry sites, a volunteer or staff member at the site may also sign the application on behalf of the individual. After signing for the individual, the volunteer or staff member should write his/her initials beside the signature. Also, MAFB may periodically request to review the applications.
- Please visit the MAFB website at www.mafbfeedingsc.org and select Pantry Partners at the top of the page. Then select Forms and Resources to download a copy of the USDA TEFAP Application for Households.
